Portus: LAN Orchestrator
Local DNS and reverse-proxy for LAN services
Current Venture
Overview
Portus manages services on a local network. It uses CoreDNS for domain name resolution and Zoraxy as a reverse proxy to route traffic. The system provides a web dashboard for control. DNS stands for Domain Name System, which translates names to addresses. Reverse proxy handles requests and forwards them. This helps developers manage local apps without complex setups. It supports authentication for security.
Outcomes
- Seamless LAN service discovery and routing
- Reduced setup time for local dev environments
- Secure access with WebAuthn biometrics
