DMCA Notice and Takedown
Revision 1.3.0 · Last updated 2026-09-19
This page describes how to submit a notice of alleged copyright infringement for content hosted on, or linked from, a jkca.me surface (short, handoff, docs, sign). The procedure follows 17 U.S.C. § 512.
Designated agent
Send notices to abuse@jkca.me with "DMCA" in the subject line. A takedown notice must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- Identification of the specific material to be removed, with enough detail for the operator to locate it (the jkca.me URL, short code, or session identifier).
- Your contact information (name, address, telephone, email).
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
Counter-notice
If your content was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may send a counter-notice to the same address. A valid counter-notice must include your signature, identification of the removed material and its prior location, a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the removal was a mistake, and your contact information with consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the operator's residence.
Repeat infringers
Accounts or source IPs associated with repeated infringement are blocked from future submissions. Because the site has no user accounts, enforcement is by IP and session token.
Note
Knowingly filing a materially false DMCA notice or counter-notice can create civil liability for damages and attorneys' fees under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). That provision is a damages rule, not a criminal federal offense.
